Woodhaven Lakes Property Owners' Association, Inc. or their representatives are NOT responsible for any personal injury or loss of property as a result of using the pools, clubhouses, parks, lakes, or any other Common Area / Facility.

I. This memorandum rescinds any previous publication covering the same material.

II. PURPOSE:
1. To identify property owners who may use the Common Areas / Facilities.
2. To define the available Common Areas / Facilities.
3. To define the scope of responsibility of members who use the facilities, and establish guidelines concerning guests.
4. To establish rules for use of Common Areas / Facilities and to define violations and penalties for inappropriate behavior and / or misuse of facilities.

III. POLICY
1. Common Areas / Facilities are to be used only by members of Woodhaven Lakes Property Owners Association, Inc. The member must be in "good standing". A property member is considered to be in good standing if:
(a) there are no delinquent assessments and/ or fines.
(b) there are no unresolved ECC (Environmental Control Committee) or rules violations.

2. All Common Areas / Facilities including the Clubhouse, Pool, basketball and tennis courts, parks and lake are used on a "first-come, first-serve" basis during normal operating hours. The Clubhouse may be rented for private use after normal operating hours. Please contact the office for current rental rates.

3. Members are responsible for proper use and care of all facilities when used by themselves and their guests. (A person is considered to be a guest when they do not reside in the same household.) Members are required to notify the Association Management when they are using the non reserved facilities. It is required that they clean the facilities after use and report any damaged equipment the next business day. Members must be present with their guests at all times. The number of guests permitted for pool usage is limited to 3, Management, board members or pool staff reserves the right to make exceptions based on current attendance. Guest must have a guest pass to use the lake (passes are available in the office and are good for one day only), for the ball field, all other outdoor parks and recreation areas, please feel free to bring as many guest as you want. NOTE: You will be responsible for any damage you and/or your guest may cause.

4. Swimming in the pool is at your own risk! There are NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY!

5. The clubhouse is a smoke / tobacco free facility.

6. The Pool will close for 3 - 24 hours when fecal matter has entered the water. (Jefferson County health department regulations will apply)

THE ASSOCIATION STRONGLY RECOMMENDS ADULT SUPERVISION FOR ALL CHILDREN 12 YEARS OF AGE & YOUNGER AT ALL PARKS AT ALL TIME.

General Rules
1. NO - Equipment/footwear that would damage surfaces of tennis or basketball courts.
2. NO - Jug or trout line fishing in lake.
3. NO - Open fires at any park or Association facility.
4. NO - Overnight camping at any park or Association facility.
5. NO - Littering/dumping of garbage along roadways and in parks and lake.
6. NO - OFF ROAD motorized vehicles on playgrounds, parks, lake and other Association property.
7. NO - Operating gas-driven motors on lake. (maintenance boat permitted)
8. Must Present - Association Decal Pass when at Big Bass Park while using lake. (pass may be obtained from the office)
9. NO - Swimming in lake.
10. NO - Vandalism, damaging, defacing or stealing Association property.
11. NO - Unleashed dog(s) on Association property.
12. NO - Drinking of alcoholic beverages under legal drinking age and/or public intoxication of members or their guests.
13. NO - Fighting or other behavior that is threatening to the safety of others.
14. NO - Carrying unlicensed weapons into Association facilities.
15. NO - Swimming when Pool is CLOSED.

1st Violation: Suspension of privileges for thirty (30) days and/or $100.00 fine. PLUS cost to repair or replace damaged equipment or facilities.

2nd Violation: Suspension of privileges for sixty (60) days and or $200.00 fine. PLUS cost to repair or replace damaged equipment or facilities.

POOL RULES

1. NO - Entering pool without showering.
2. NO - Wearing clothing that is not proper swim attire in pool, such as cut-offs, bicycle pants, street clothes, etc., including failure to use swimming diapers for infants.
3. NO - Running and/or rough horseplay.
4. NO - Vulgar, profane language, behavior, or any action that would be disrespectful to another person.
5. NO - Playing loud/distracting music such as Boom Boxes.
6. NO - Having Glass Containers in the Pool Deck area.
7. NO - Having food outside designated eating / snack areas.
8. NO - Beverages within five (5) feet of edge of pool.
9. NO - Sitting, hanging, or pulling on safety rope.
10. NO - Double floats and/or floats in deep end of pool.
11. NO - Using Non-Approved objects in the pool area (See Pool Manager for determination of "Approved Items")

12. DIVING BOARD RULES:
a. No one over 250 lbs. allowed
b. Only one (1) diver on board at a time
c. Diver must wait until dive area has cleared before leaving board
d. Only one (1) bounce allowed on the board
e. Only forward straight-line dive/jump allowed
f. No diving into pool except at deep end and no backward diving from pool side.

13. TURBO SLIDE RULES:
a. Sitting position only - NO HEAD FIRST SLIDES
b. Only one (1) slider at a time
c. Slider must wait until slide area has cleared before sliding
d. NO - sliding through objects such as inner tubes
e. NO - beverages on slide
f. No one over 250 lbs allowed
g. NO - Diving from top of slide
h. You must be 48" or taller to use slide

14. Wet bathing suits cannot be worn upstairs in clubhouse and/or while playing pool/table tennis.
15. Failure to sign out/in for recreational equipment.
16. NO - Phone calls without approval from Pool/Association Manager.
17. NO - Smoking anywhere within the clubhouse and pool area (smoking is permitted outside the gated pool area).

1st Violation: Suspension of privileges for one (1) day. 2nd Violation: Suspension of privileges for five (5) days. 3rd Violation: Suspension of privileges for thirty (30) days. Back to Top
